The Altivum® Inc. Tech Stack

Like a pencil, the solutions we build at Altivum® Inc. are the product of deep specialization across hardware, inference, and research; none of which any single company could provide alone.

In his 1958 essay,"I, Pencil,"Leonard E. Read uses a humble pencil, speaking in the first person, to explain how even the simplest products require markets, specialization, and dispersed knowledge to exist. Milton Friedman famously summarized the idea when he said, "There is not a single person in the world who could make this pencil."

The same principle applies to modern software.

Like a pencil, the solutions we build at Altivum® Inc., are the product of deep specialization across hardware, inference, and research; none of which any single company could provide alone. We build on the top-tier solutions of companies whose expertise, when combined, enables us to deliver reliable, high-quality experiences grounded in technical depth.

These are the partners and platforms that make that possible.

Hardware & Compute

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the cornerstone of our tech stack. Whether we're running serverless functions or persistent workloads that demand continuous compute and elastic scaling, AWS gives us the flexibility to deliver highly available solutions tailored to our clients' business needs.

On the infrastructure side, Amazon EC2 provides the virtual servers that power our more compute-intensive processes all of which are scalable, configurable, and purpose-built for production workloads. Amazon Bedrock AgentCore has enabled observability and traceability across all of our agentic processes, giving us the ability to monitor, debug, and improve in real time.

Beyond what we use directly, AWS hardware like Trainium3 UltraServers enables companies like Anthropic to train and deploy AI models faster and at lower cost. That investment in silicon flows downstream to us: better models, faster inference, and reduced costs for our clients.

Inference

Claude by Anthropic has proven to be the most reliable AI platform for code generation and complex reasoning. The quality of its data analysis and the consistency of its outputs are unmatched in our experience. Anthropic is deliberate in what they build. You won't find image generation or video creation. There are other models that serve those needs. Claude's promise is focused: help users tackle complex challenges, analyze data, write code, and think through their hardest work. On that promise, Claude delivers.

This focus is a major reason Claude continues to grow its share among enterprise clients, and it's why Claude sits at the center of our inference layer.

Deep Research

Perplexity stands at the center of our data acquisition and research workflows. Their Comet browser, with its built-in AI assistant, has streamlined the majority of our daily online operations from managing emails to answering nuanced questions that require a deep understanding of our business context.

As Max subscribers, we've had early access to Perplexity Computer, a system capable of creating and executing entire workflows that can run for hours or even months. Despite its recent release, we've already identified a myriad of use cases that not only enhance our current offerings but position us to deliver higher-quality products for our clients in the near future.

No single person can make a pencil. No single company can build what we build at Altivum. AWS, Anthropic, and Perplexity each bring a layer of specialization that, when combined, allows us to deliver software solutions grounded in real technical expertise. We take pride in choosing our partners as deliberately as we build our products because what our clients experience on the surface is only possible because of the invisible stack beneath it.
